Modern creative jazz with influences from traditional Japanese music

Aseo & Kana is a Japanese Jazz Duo consisting of the Austrian pianist Aseo Friesacher and the Japanese flutist Fuefuki Kana. They have initially found each other online and started with video collaborations during the Corona times. Their focus lies on the modern reinterpretation of popular- and traditional songs from Japan with giving the music an uplifting twist of jazz. In addition with Aseo's Japanese inspired compositions, they have found their very own musical direction.
