Beyond Human Limits

Climb4Mriya - an event dedicated to Ukrainian veterans and climbing. Two movie screenings, an exhibition & Q&A

On Saturday, July 4, Antonii Baryshevskyi will host Climb4Mriya, a special evening dedicated to Ukrainian veterans, climbing, resilience, and recovery.

In times of upheaval, the greatest challenge is not the peak ahead, but the transformation demanded by the journey.

What if resilience is not about returning to who we were, but about discovering who we can become?

Join us for a special evening dedicated to climbing, resilience, and recovery. We will screen two inspiring films about climbing and the strength of the human spirit, followed by a Q&A session with veterans participating in Climb4Mriya.

The evening features:
Climbing Never Die — an award-winning documentary by Matt Groom and Nick Rosen, following the Ukrainian climbing community as they continue to train, compete, and support one another in the midst of war. The film received the Mountain Life Award at the 2025 Tegernsee International Mountain Film Festival for its moving portrayal of resilience, solidarity, and hope.

Transformation in Progress — a deeply personal documentary directed by Hanka Tretiak that explores resilience through the lens of change and self-discovery. The film follows individuals navigating profound life transitions, reflecting on identity, adaptation, and the ongoing process of becoming. Through an intimate and compassionate perspective, it invites audiences to consider transformation not as a destination, but as a continuous journey.

Following the screenings, veterans participating in Climb4Mriya will share their experiences during a live Q&A discussion, offering unique insights into recovery, challenge, and personal growth.

After the discussion, guests are invited to view a temporary exhibition of works by Ukrainian visual artist Nikita Titov in Splendor's main hall, as part of tonight's programme.

Please reserve your place in advance. Entry is free; however, we kindly ask for voluntary contributions after the event. Seventy percent of all donations will support Climb4Mriya, while thirty percent will go toward supporting Splendor and hosting future cultural events.
