Ziv Taubenveld Full Sun
Live soundtrack for the film Der Müde Tod by Fritz LangFull Sun is a flexible unit that functions in various sizes and instrumentations based on musicians from Amsterdam's creative music community. For this performance the ensemble will be expanded to an octet, including the guembri (Moroccan bass lute) and several synthesizers.
Someone said psychedelia? This multi-disciplinary event will be the premiere of a large composition inspired by the German impressionistic silent film Der Müde Tod by Fritz Lang (1921). The film will be screen as the music is played.
The composition was made possible thanks to the support of a grant by the FPK.
Full Sun's second album "Out Of The Beast Came Honey" is out on Clean Feed Records 2022.
"We immediately hear what is so characteristic of Taubenfeld's music: that combination of melodic lyricism and unadulterated rawness. For him, one never goes without the other." Ben Taffijn
"This is a crowning example of a collective song, where the band's dynamics are allowed to flourish in all stages." - Jan Granlie
"Inside you can hear micro granules of jazz, swing and even New Orleans aesthetics. The outer layer, however, is far dark, mysterious, as if it hides great secrets from the Far East." - Andrzej Nowak
