Sarah Jeffery
Recorders, vocals, songwriting and electronics
Splendor musician Sarah Jeffery (UK) isn't just a recorder player. Through avenues as varied as music theatre, chamber music, live electronics, impro- and composition workshops, a YouTube channel with more than 170K loyal subscibers, and her own experimental pop band Jerboah and recorder trio aXolot, Sarah Jeffery is one of the world’s foremost promoters of the recorder. Her ceaselessly fascinating activities have brought her to collaborations with the BBC, Netflix, and a long list of theatre/new music ensembles in The Netherlands and abroad.
Through her active use of social media, Sarah met many composers on Instagram during the lockdown. Last year, she played some of her online friends' new works together with her growing collection of own music in her concert @Nieuwe Stukken (New Works). Today it's time for the second edition of Nieuwe Stukken, in which recorders in all sizes, vocals, and several layers of electronics will form a canvas upon which she can further expand her radiating creativity.
Featuring works by composers including:
- Melika M. Fitzhugh
- Alice Jones
