Jonatan Alvarado has set Splendor as his base in his quest to revive some of Argentina's forgotten musical gems, which he has uncovered in various archives across his homeland. For this special concert, he will be joined by Mara Winter, a versatile performer and composer—equally at home with historical flutes and mix media—to push this exploration even further. Together, they will craft a piece that exists in the no-man’s-land between rediscovery, re-creation, rearrangement, and re-appropriation, using early 20th-century Argentine folk as a starting point.
