Marleen Asberg and Kelvin Grout present very a colourful program based on the theme 'ecstasy'. Music can move us like nothing else. Two great artists seduce their public with compositions for piano and vocals by Schubert, Brahms, Debussy, Duparc and Strauss.

Marleen Asberg is a violinist in the famous Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. But she also studied voice with Margreet Honing in Amsterdam. Nowadays she is coached by Maarten Koningsberger. As a lyrical soprano, she regularly performs with colleagues from the Concertgebouw orchestra. She has sung arias with them, including Puccini, Bellini and Gounod. She has also participated in many productions in which she was heard as a violinist as well as a singer. Marleen Asberg recently performed a Bach Cantata and opera arias with members of the Concertgebouw Orchestra in the Bulgaria Hall in Sofia.

The British/Dutch pianist Kelvin Grout received his first piano lessons at the age of two and a half years, and won his first piano competition at the age of four. He studied with Graham Johnson, Geoffrey Parsons, and Gerald Moore. After participating in Elisabeth Schwarzkopf’s masterclasses in the Wigmore Hall, he was invited to her home in Zurich, where he worked for six years as an assistant pianist and established an international career as an art song accompanist. His career has brought him all over the world with countless radio, television and CD recordings. Since 2017, Kelvin Grout has returned to the solo stage with recitals and concerts, including Beethoven Concerto No. 1 and Rachmaninoff’s Concerto No. 2.
