There is Peace in the Blueprint
Between Structure and Voice
There Is Peace in the Blueprint explores the strange comfort of systems. Across three works for voices, the program moves through instructions, structures, and imagined worlds—tracing the architectures we build to organise life. Somewhere between plan and reality, the voice tries to find space.
The evening unfolds like a construction in progress: ordered patterns gradually shift into more unstable and open sound worlds.
At the center of the concert is Bogged Down, a new song cycle by Nadia Bakhshi and George Demetriou. The work expands the program’s exploration of structure and repetition through voice, machine, and digital space.
Nadia Bakhshi is a media artist, theatre maker, opera director, singer, and performer based in Amsterdam. She works across video games, sound performance, and installation. Trained in opera and theatre directing, Nadia later shifted toward installation and media art. Her work has been presented at WORM Rotterdam, Dutch National Opera, HAU Hebbel am Ufer, and festivals including Opera Forward Festival, O Festival Rotterdam, Synergy Art Festival, and ADE.
