Rituals surrounding your concert to ward off bad luck; I know few musicians who are free of them.
Some people have real bad luck, like Arnold Schönberg's wife, who had to discover that her husband had died of fear on Friday the 13th in the year he turned 76 (!).
Or Domenico Gabrielli, who single-handedly sparked a revolution in the cello world, but had to watch helplessly as Johann Sebastian Bach took the credit with his 6 Suites.
Take the Hungarian song Gloomy Sunday, which was banned by the authorities because of its effect on listeners: people either rebelled against the regime or jumped off the bridge over the Danube.
