presents:
Eduardo Machado Quarteto - from Brazil
Brazilian Master Bassplayer on tour in The Netherlands
The show "DO NATO SAMBA JAZZ" In this show Eduardo presents an original repertoire from his 10th album, “Do Nato Samba Jazz", composer and bassist Eduardo Machado reveals all the richness and diversity of Brazilian instrumental music.
The album was created with the aim of paying homage to João Donato, who is one of the greatest references in Brazilian popular music, and also aims to rescue the Samba Jazz musical genre, which is the product of the fusion between samba and jazz. It was released in April 2023 on digital and vinyl platforms. To achieve this, he brought together a strong team that explores instruments beyond their traditional form, creating an atmosphere with hybridism of styles such as samba, but with the harmony of Bossa Nova and the melody that resembles the blues; finally, a hint of the spice of Caribbean music, thus bringing to light the aspects and experiments elaborated by João Donato, resonating the most contemporary.
For this show of the purest Brazilian instrumental music, Eduardo will be accompanied by Tiago Barros on saxophone, Eron Guarnieri on piano and Duda Lazarini on drums to, together, involve the public in a dynamic game that only Brazilian music creates. Moments where the pleasure of listening and making music mix.
