An inspiring concert with music by Misha Mengelberg, Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk and originals by these two musicians who first played together in Jean-Paul Steeghs octet, way back in 1987. And after that never played together again until 2015 when they collaborated in Maarten Ornstein's particle-cantata Creator | Destroyer. Tonight's concert reunites Scheen and Ornstein once again with a program filled with unexpected treasures and lots of humour.
